What I offer
Frameworks, standards and guidelines
Throughout my career I have worked at the forefront of developing sustainability guidance for different actors, ranging from NGOs through to financial institutions on sector-specific risk policies. I have expertise in non-financial risk articulation and developing approaches to managing risk and impact. In addition to direct output, notably for UNEP FI, my work has been used in the development of overarching sustainability frameworks including the SBTN and TNFD guidance.
Systems thinking
I have built several global projects and programmes from the ground up with a view towards implementing systems change for sustainability. In particular, I am skilled at creating linkages between long-term goals and short-term activities.
Clear communication
Having worked in a variety of organisations and organisation types, I am skilled at communicating in different styles for different audiences, always ensuring that the key message is received as intended. My writing and editing experience includes drafting speeches for VIPs, writing policy papers, and producing long and short-form digital content. I have appeared on numerous panels as both a moderator and panellist and have featured as a blue economy expert in radio and TV interviews.
Convening and partnership
Key to success across projects is the ability to bring people together and hear all sides of an issue before identifying solutions together. This has been a mantra for me throughout my career and I have been fortunate to be able to adopt a consensus-driven approach to facilitating and convening dialogue between diverse - and often opposed - parties. In addition to convening private discussions and round-tables, I am a skilled moderator and facilitator for public events.
